Passenger Security Screening
at Washington Dulles-International.
Passengers using Washington Dulles in early and mid-June have
experienced increasing delays in being processed for security screenings. Due
to these security processing constraints, all domestic passengers are now encouraged
to arrive at Dulles at least two hours prior to their scheduled departure. Passengers
scheduled to depart during the late afternoon International bank should arrive
at the airport three hours prior to their departure.

Change for Passengers at Dulles International Airport
Beginning June 9th, the West Security Screening Checkpoint at Dulles Airport
has been closed. New Security Screening lanes are open in the center of the
Terminal to take the place of those closed on the West end. Dulles Airport will
retain 22 security screening lanes. Once you clear Security Screening, follow
the signs to the the appropriate Mobile Lounge Docking locations. This relocation
is to allow construction to move ahead on the Terminal Station for the future
automated Airport Train System which will provide convenient and comfortable
transportation between the Terminal and Concourses.

Plans for Nonstop Chicago-Shanghai Service
June 18 -- United plans to apply for authority to launch daily, nonstop service
between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Shanghai’s
Pudong International Airport (PVG).

Airways Washington, D.C. Fares Start as Low as $79* Each Way
June 18 -- US Airways® today rolled out its next wave of its GoFares®,
offering Washington, D.C.-area travelers low, simplified fares for travel on
twenty-two initial routes from Ronald Reagan Washington National and Washington
Dulles International airports. Employees will be performing “unbelievable”
acts of kindness as part of a nine-day campaign to tell Washingtonians about
their new local GoFares.
Independence
Air Began New Low-Fare Service At Washington Dulles
Independence Air began new low-fare service from its hub at Washington Dulles
International Airport on June 16th, by launching inaugural flights to its first
five destinations—Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O’Hare, Newark and Raleigh/Durham.
New destinations and departures will be added throughout June, July and August
so that by September 1st, Independence Air will serve 35 destinations from Washington,
with a schedule of 300 daily departures—making Washington Dulles the largest
low-fare hub in America.

partners will increase daily flights
American Airlines announced today that its AmericanConnection partner will increase
the number of daily departures from five to six operating between St. Louis
Lambert Airport and Denver starting Aug. 1.
Delta
Expands Codeshare Flights with China Airlines between US and Taiwan
June 21 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and China Airlines are expanding
their present codeshare agreement so that passengers traveling between the United
States and Taiwan will have one additional gateway choice for flights between
the two countries. Delta will place its code on flights offered by Delta’s
codeshare partner China Airlines between Seattle and Taipei beginning June 22,
2004.

to Begin Nonstop Service between ATL and Belize
June 22 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will begin nonstop service between Atlanta
and Belize on December 11. Delta will offer customers one round-trip, nonstop
flight on Saturday only between its Atlanta hub and Belize using single-class,
150-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. Delta is also increasing its service between Atlanta
and Providenciales, Turks & Caicos, to year-round, daily service starting
Sept. 15. The airline had previously offered seasonal, Saturday-only service
to the city.

June 21, 2004 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) is offering its SkyMiles Medallion
members more choice and customization through a new and expanded slate of Medallion
threshold benefits for 2005.

Rates On The Rise (BTN)
June 21 -- Negotiated U.S. hotel rates for 2005 are expected to rise 3.5 percent
over 2004, according to projections released last week by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
PwC also said that average negotiated rates for 2004, which were determined
in late 2003, rose approximately 1.9 percent, compared with the prior year.
By contrast, average daily U.S. rates—which include corporate, consortia,
negotiated and rack rates—this year are expected to go up 3 percent.

D'Ivoire Travel Warning
This Travel Warning is being issued to update U.S. citizens on ongoing safety
and security concerns. The Department continues to urge U.S. citizens to defer
non-essential travel to Cote d'Ivoire and to remind them of ongoing safety and
security concerns. This supersedes the Travel Warning of February 4, 2004.

This Public Announcement is being updated to alert U.S. citizens that the U.S.
Government has received information that extremists may be planning to carry
out attacks against Westerners and oil workers in the Persian Gulf region, beyond
Saudi Arabia. U.S. citizens are reminded to maintain a high level of vigilance
and to take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness. This Public
Announcement supersedes the Public Announcement issued on April 29, 2004, and
expires November 20, 2004.

This Travel Warning is being updated to include recent targeted attacks against
American citizens, resulting in deaths, injuries and a kidnapping, and to remind
American citizens of the continuing serious threat to their safety while in
Saudi Arabia. This Travel Warning supersedes that of April 15, 2004.

Government to Bail Out Alitalia
June 22 -- Italy's government decided June 22 to provide a guarantee for a short-term
"bridge loan," believed to be about $485 million, to Alitalia to assist
the airline's effort to restructure and avoid bankruptcy, according to published
reports.
Amtrak
Schedules Wireless Access 24/7
Amtrak passengers traveling along the Northeast Corridor were able to connect
wirelessly to the Internet at stations in Boston, Providence, New York Penn
Station, Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore. To access the service, passengers
need a Wi-Fi enabled computer, personal digital assistant or a similar device.
