August 2 -- United offers great end-of-year airfares to every destination it
serves worldwide for customers who purchase tickets beginning today through
August 13, 2004. Fares are good for U.S. domestic travel through December 15,
2004, while international travel dates vary.

Adds LAX-Sydney Flights During Australia's Peak Summer Travel Season
August 3 - United Airlines today began sellingtickets for three additional roundtrips
each week between Los Angeles and Sydney from mid-December until the end of

Went On Sale for New Chicago - Shanghai Service
July 29 --United tickets went on sale for its new daily, nonstop flights between
Chicago - O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Shanghai's Pudong International
Airport (PVG). Service begins October 31, 2004. United is also offering special
introductory fares from the U.S. East Coast and Midwest to Shanghai for as low

July 27 -- On Dec. 16, 2004, United will begin flying nonstop from Chicago to
Maui with continuing service to Kona, making the new route United's second daily
nonstop flight from Chicago to the Hawaiian Islands. This unique daily roundtrip
route will originate at Chicago O'Hare, fly nonstop to Maui, travel on to Kona,
and then return nonstop to Chicago.

Airways Boosts Capacity in Washington, DC Area
July 28 -- US Airways will increase its capacity by up to 90 percent to five
destinations from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport this fall, with
the resumption of mainline roundtrip service to both Buffalo and Syracuse, N.Y.,
Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis, and Manchester, N.H., all beginning Sept. 8, 2004.

Airways Plans to Expand Caribbean and Latin America Network
August 2 -- US Airways will expand its Caribbean and Latin America network on
Feb. 12, 2005, with new service to Liberia, Costa Rica from Charlotte, N.C.,
and new nonstop Charlotte-Barbados service. In addition, US Airways will increase
nonstop Boston-Aruba service in November 2004, and add a second nonstop Saturday
flight between Charlotte and St. Thomas in December 2004.

AirTran Airways destinations are on sale through August 12
Tickets must be booked by August 12, and travel must be completed by December
15, 2004. These fares require a 10-day advance purchase and are not valid Fridays
and Sundays.

Airlines Increases Domestic U.S. Fares $5 One-Way, $10 Round-Trip
July 30 -– American Airlines today filed to increase most domestic U.S.,
U.S.-Canada, and U.S.-Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands fares by $5 one way and $10
round trip, effective immediately. Some other international fares have also
been increased. The increase is to help offset the continuing high cost of jet
fuel.

to Launch Daily Service Between Tucson, Ariz., and New York
HOUSTON, July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL)
and the Tucson, Ariz., Airport Authority today announced the airline will launch
daily nonstop service between Tucson International Airport and Newark Liberty
International Airport, beginning Sept. 30, the only nonstop service between
southern Arizona and the New York area.

airlines offering senior discounts
July 25 -- Low-fare Frontier is the latest airline to drop senior discounts,
alleging that its everyday fares are so low that seniors don't need any additional
cuts. Whatever the reasons, most other U.S. airlines have already dropped or

July 27 — Traveling through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
has become less stressful and less time consuming for businessman Pat Bassett
who is a member of the new "registered traveler" program for frequent
flyers, which allows them to bypass regular security checkpoints by agreeing
to background checks and identity verification through fingerprint and iris
scans.

August 4 -- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey approved the construction

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts received the top ranking in the luxury hotel
segment in the J.D. Power and Associates 2004 Domestic Hotel Guest Satisfaction
Index Study(SM). In addition to scoring highest in annual guest satisfaction,
Four Seasons also led in another key measure of guest loyalty. The percentage
of those surveyed who said they “definitely will” recommend Four

orders airlines to DC to discuss O'Hare schedule cuts
July 29 -- US Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta yesterday called on all
US airlines serving Chicago O'Hare to come to Washington next Wednesday to discuss
reducing schedules at the airport in the face of what DOT called "historic"
levels of delays there this summer.

Drops Fare Increase
August 2 -- According to Reuters, American Airlines has dropped its recent attempt
to increase fares as an offset to higher fuel costs.
Threat
Level Hiked on Financial Institutions
August 1 -- The Department of Homeland Security has announced an elevated, localized
threat levels of "high" for financial districts of New York City,
Newark, NJ, and Washington, DC. Upgraded, targeted security enhancements were
also announced.
Senate passes bill to extend
VWP deadline
July 23 -- The Senate July 22, mirroring the House, approved legislation (H.R.
4417) that extends for one year a deadline requiring the 27 countries that participate
in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to issue passports that include biometric identifiers.
President Bush is expected to sign the legislation into law.
The countries originally had until Oct. 26 to issue biometric passports, but
most indicated they would be unable to meet that deadline.
Concerned that inbound travel would be negatively impacted, the travel industry, as well as the State Dept. and the Dept. of Homeland Security urged lawmakers to extend the deadline to allow VWP countries more time to develop and implement adding electronically coded biometric identifies, such as fingerprints, to passports.
