It may be a couple of months before tourists can return
to New Orleans via the city's Louis Armstrong International
Airport, but aviation director Roy Williams said the

severe damage across the Southeast, Amtrak continues
to implement a revised service plan for its City of
New Orleans trains, which operate daily between Chicago
and New Orleans; the Crescent trains, which operate
daily New York and New Orleans; and the Sunset Limited
trains, which operate three-days-weekly, between Los

Airways Resumes Normal Operations at All Gulf State
Airports Except New Orleans
Aug. 31, 2005 -- US Airways and US Airways Express
have resumed normal flight schedules in all cities
served in the Central and Eastern Gulf Coast region,
with the exceptions of New Orleans, following Hurricane
Katrina. New Orleans service has been canceled at
this time through the originating flight on Wednesday,
