Oct. 30, 2006 -Several U.S. airlines gave up on an attempt to raise
fares by $6 per round trip after United Airlines, which had initiated
the move, went back to its earlier rates over the weekend.

loosens liquid carry-on restrictions
Nov. 3, 2006 - Passengers flying out of Britain will be able to
carry small amounts of liquids, gels and lotions, including toothpaste
and medicine, through airport security checkpoints starting Monday.

Nov. 2, 2006 - Northwest Airlines launched a holiday fare sale on
Thursday, including a handful of "Super Bargain Days"
aimed at filling its planes during November and December.
IRS
Increases Vehicle Reimbursement Rate
Nov. 2, 2006 - The Internal Revenue Service today issued a 2007
allowable vehicle reimbursement rate of 48.5 cents per mile, despite
a moderation in gas prices compared with the volatile post-Hurricane
Katrina prices of a year ago.

that great anymore. And surprisingly, I hear this from employees
within the industry as often as I hear it from guests. I agree that
hotel service is declining, and I blame four kinds of people for
