TSA and American Airlines Initiate Paperless Boarding Pass
Nov. 21, 2008 - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and American Airlines announced today the launch of a Paperless Boarding Pass pilot program at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It will allow passengers to receive boarding passes electronically on their cell phones or PDAs, which will then be scanned by TSA security officers at the checkpoint and eliminate the need for a paper boarding pass.

US Airways to reinstate some frequent flier miles
Nov. 21, 2008 - US Airways Group Inc. said Thursday that some of its frequent fliers will have their preferred bonus miles and preferred minimum miles reinstated as the airline attempts to keep that segment of its customer base happy during worsening economic conditions.
Effective November 19, 2008, our international Reissue Policy has been updated to match the domestic policy. As a result, the lower fare option for international travel will be the same as for domestic travel.
A customer is entitled to a lower fare guarantee refund if, after purchase, a lower fare becomes available for the exact itinerary purchased and the customer hasn't flown any portion of the reservation. We will issue a US Airways voucher for the difference, minus a change fee, per fare rules.
Lower fare guarantee refunds are not available for online ticket exchanges and certain promotional fares may be excluded. If a voluntary change results in a lower fare, a refund of the difference will not be issued.
Southwest looks to give up some BWI gates
