Holiday Travel Tips

Its the busiest time of the year for airports as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches. The Air Transport Authority predicts a 4 % increase in passengers this year compared to last year.

Planes may have been flying 80% full before the holidays, now they'll be 90 to 100% full. That means longer lines through security that can be avoided.

Keep the following information handy in case problem arises

  • A list of phone numbers for your airline (and its partner carriers),
  • Phone number of your travel agency, hotel and rental car agency,
  • Phone number of the person who dropped you off (in case they need to come back and get you), and
  • Phone number of the person picking you up at your destination.
  • Information on a schedule of alternate flights which will come in handy if your flight is canceled and you need to tweak your plans.
