Airways changes frequent flyer program to offset fuel costs
Feb. 14, 2008 - US Airways is changing its frequent flyer program to
help offset record fuel costs. Tickets purchased on or after March 1
for travel on or after May 1 will earn the actual number of miles flown
and will no longer earn a minimum of 500 miles per segment. The airline
also announced that members redeeming miles for award travel online
within 14 days of departure will be assessed a quick ticketing fee of
$50 per ticket.

Feb. 14, 2008 - American Airlines, Inc., revealed a new reciprocal frequent
flyer agreement with India-based Jet Airways Ltd., effective today.

Feb. 15, 2008 - To entice airlines to roll out nonstop service between
Boston and Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East, the Massachusetts
Port Authority's board approved rebates on Logan International Airport's
landing fees for new international routes.

to start employee security screenings at Southwest Oregon Airport

participate in a TSA pilot program, requiring 100% of the airline employees

staffers will process bags, handle tickets and passports, and escort
passengers to the front of security lines.
