More evidence Tuesday that a bad economy pushes passengers
to the back of the plane, as a trade group reported that
traffic in the high-end airline seats fell 22 percent
in April.

says Asia Pacific indicate companies are starting to

As if charging $15 to check a bag weren't enough, two
airlines are asking for $5 more beginning this summer
if you pay at the check-in counter — a fee on top
of a fee.

corporate travel professionals surveyed last fall said

Those Carry-Ons Down to Size
The law of unforeseen consequences came to mind the other
day as I was reading through a bill recently introduced
in Congress that addresses the problem of too many oversize
carry-on bags. The bill would standardize the size of
carry-on items and require the Transportation Security
Administration to enforce limits by measuring the bags
at its checkpoints.
Southwest
cutting 3 BNA flights
Southwest Airlines announced it will cut three flights
from Nov. through Jan. 8. The discount carrier says it
is cutting a flight each to Jacksonville, Fla., Kansas
City and Las Vegas. The airline will still offer service
to those cities.
