Airlines adds electronic boarding passes
Alaska Airlines will begin offering
electronic boarding passes to passengers in several of
the cities it serves. Alaska Airlines customers flying
from Anchorage, Boise, Idaho, Denver, Las Vegas, Portland,
Ore., Seattle and Spokane, Wash. could begin receiving
boarding information and check in with a mobile device

Airlines Adds Service in 13 Cities
United Airlines today announced
additional service linking 13 cities to the airline's global
network with seasonal and year-round flights beginning
June 9, 2010, to and from the airline's hubs in Chicago,

Airlines adds 3 foreign routes from NY
American Airlines said Thursday that it will add three new
international routes from New York this spring. The airline
said Thursday it will begin flights between John F. Kennedy
International Airport and San Jose, Costa Rica, on April
6, then launch service to Madrid on May 1 and Manchester,
U.K., on May 13.

passenger traffic up last year despite recession
The number of passengers who flew last year through Baltimore-Washington
International Thurgood Marshall Airport increased 2.3 percent
compared to the previous year — one of only two airports
among the 25 largest in the continental United States that
showed growth, according to Gov. Martin O'Malley.
Delta
adding flights to Texas, Canada from Memphis
Delta Airlines is adding daily service from its Memphis hub
to Amarillo, Texas, and Indianapolis, Ind.
The airline is also resuming service to Toronto, Canada,
from Memphis, adding two daily flights. The addition of service
to Amarillo increases the total number of Texas destinations
to four, with Delta already making stops to Dallas, Lubbock
and McAllen. Delta is offering a special introductory fair
to Amarillo with flights as low as $99 each way, provided
there is a round-trip purchase and a Saturday night stay.
Tickets must be purchased on Delta.com by March 31.
Southwest
Airlines expanding service in Boston
Southwest Airlines is taking aim at US Airways as it expands
at Logan International Airport. The Dallas-based airline
announced today it was starting up nonstop service between
Boston and Philadelphia on June 27.
