Another Major Snow Storm Hits MidWest and Great Lakes
The coldest air of the season so far has unleashed a new, nasty lake effect event and can leave some downwind areas thigh deep in windblown snow all over again. Read more
If you have travel plans to or through Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Toronto, or Ottawa this weekend on the ground or by air, expect problems from snow, wind, icy roads, and low visibility at times. This includes the major interstate highways 70, 80 and 90 in the region.
Travel-On has been closely monitoring the weather situations and how it may be impacting your travelers. Reservation and traveler arrangements are constantly monitored to determine who is traveling, or scheduled to travel, in areas affected by the storm. As travelers are identified, Travel-On agents contact the traveler, if possible, or the travel arranger to advise the situation and make alternate arrangements if required. We will continue our process until the storm has subsided and will provide any additional emergency bulletins as news breaks.

Trusted Traveler Program Gains Support
On December 1, U.S. Travel called on the TSA to create a new trusted traveler program. In such a program, travelers who voluntarily share biometric and biographical information, pass robust background checks to confirm their "low-risk" nature and are verified by TSA at the time of travel, would be allowed to pass through an alternative security process.
