China, Philippines and Vietnam – Typhoon Krosa Strikes Northeast Coast of Luzon Island
Since making landfall on Luzon Island. Philippines, Typhoon Krosamade has tracked slightly north, lessening the potential effects of the system on Metro Manila. The storm will depart the Philippines Nov. 1, and is predicted to track north-northwestward across the South China Sea. Forecasts predict that the system will turn southwestward before making landfall as a strong typhoon on southeastern Hainan Island, China, late Nov. 3 or early Nov. 4. The storm will then track toward Vietnam, possibly making landfall north of Hue Nov. 4.
