I am going to be flying to and from Europe this week on Delta via JFK – is there anything I need to know about the new kiosks?

If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen arriving at Terminal 4 you’ll have an opportunity to try the new passport control kiosks Delta recently sprung for. First installed at Chicago O’Hare this summer, the kiosks have already reduced wait times there by more than 33% overall. Here’s a first-hand report from a recent traveler:

After disembarking proceed to the Immigration Hall where you join the line for U.S. or Canadian Citizens/Green Card Holders. The line comes to a bank of kiosks at which you will scan your passport, answer the Customs questions on the screen, and have your photo taken. The photo and your answers appear on a printed receipt which you will take with you. After immigration collect your luggage and exit to the Customs area where the printed receipt will be collected and you are on your way.”
