Bahamas – Strike Pending

Trade Union Congress says thousands of workers across the country will launch a labour strike as early as Wednesday, Sept 17th, over unresolved matters. The Nurses Union, Customs, Immigration and Allied Workers Union; Hotel Maintenance and Allied Workers Union; Commonwealth Union of Hotel Services and Allied Workers and the Bahamas Hotel Managerial Association will all join the strike. The Air Traffic Controllers Union has also filed a trade dispute and intends to take a strike vote imminently.
