Heavy security measures will be implemented throughout Beijing ahead of the 27th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Incident on June 4.

The Rail Tram and Bus Union and the Electrical Trades Union have notified the government of their protected industrial action from May 27 to May 30.

Ongoing strikes continue involving the national rail network, air traffic controllers, truck drivers, and oil refinery workers. Travelers should expect disruptions and cancellations of trains and planes. Lines at gas stations may be long and at some stations may not be able to supply gas until they are replenished.
