Terror group Al-Shabaab has released a video calling for attacks on shopping malls in Kenya, Canada, the UK, France, the United States, and other western countires, specifically including West Edmonton Mall, Oxford Street, and Mall of Americas.

Effective March 1, new security screening will be introduced at airports in the European Union, for the detection of explosives. Random explosive sniffer checks will be carried out on passengers’ hand luggage during the usual security screening. This is similar to the checks already used in the U.S. and UK.

Employees of ground handling companies and foreign airlines in Italy are called to strike from 13:00 to 17:00 on March 4. The strike notice covers all foreign airlines. Italian law requires minimum services be upheld during industrial actions. Travelers should reconfirm flight status with the airline.
