Bank workers in Brazil are continuing an indefinite strike which began Sept. 6, leaving 51% of banks operating at limited capacity.

Typhoon Malakas is tracking northwestward towards Taiwan and Japan’s Ryukyu Islands. Although the storm’s track could change in the coming days. is will probably bring strong winds and heavy rain to Taiwan and parts of Japan’s Okinawa Prefecture Sept. 16 before making landfall near Kagoshima, Japan, late on Sept 18th.

The Airline Pilots Association of APLA is on strike through Sep 16.
