Germany – Train Drivers Threaten Strike

Train drivers represented by the Gewerkschaft Deutscher Lokomotivfuehrer, Germany’s largest train driver union, are threatening to strike nationwide. Leaders of GDL, which represents roughly 80 percent of Germany’s train drivers, will likely provide passengers advance notice of any planned action, which could occur any time after Oct. 5.
