TSA Begins Requiring Boarding Passes at Security Checkpoints in Palm Springs, CA International Airport
December 15 -Passengers at Palm Springs Airport are now required to have their boarding pass and a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, in hand as they enter the security checkpoint. E-ticket receipts, itineraries and vouchers will no longer provide access through the checkpoints, and boarding passes will no longer be issued at the gates. Boarding passes may be obtained on most airline websites, at ticket counters, through airline computer kiosks, or at most skycap curbside stations.

JFK's AirTrain To Begin Service
Dec 8 -- Port Authority's state-of-the-art AirTrain JFK rail system will provide fast, reliable and convenient transportation to, from and around John F. Kennedy International Airport. The rail system will begin passenger service on December 17, 2003 - the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight.

US Airways Express will expand its seasonal weekend nonstop service between Savannah, Ga., and National Airport
Dec. 16, 2003 -- US Airways Express will expand its seasonal weekend nonstop service between Savannah, Ga., and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to daily nonstop service, beginning Feb. 8, 2004.

US Airways and Spanair begin codeshre relationship
Dec. 15, 2003 -- Spanair and US Airways announced today the first phase of their new marketing relationship, with 32 codeshare flights to destinations throughout the U.S. and Spain, beginning Dec. 16, 2003. Customers can immediately make reservations on these new flights.

US Airways begin nonstop service between its Charlotte, N.C. hub and La Romana
Dec. 12, 2003 -- US Airways will begin nonstop service between its Charlotte, N.C. hub and La Romana, Dominican Republic tomorrow, bringing US Airways’ Caribbean and Latin American network to 24 destinations.

The new service will begin on Dec. 13, 2003, and operate each Saturday using 120-seat Airbus A319 aircraft. Flights will depart Charlotte at 10:30 a.m., and will arrive in La Romana at 2:45 p.m. Return flights will depart La Romana at 4:05 p.m., and will arrive in Charlotte at 6:41 p.m.

Continental Airlines and KLM Begin Interline eTicketing
Dec. 10 -- Continental Airlines has implemented interline electronic ticketing with KLM, allowing customers to use a single electronic ticket when their itineraries include travel on both carriers.

December 12 -- This Public Announcement is being issued to alert American citizens to ongoing civil unrest and political demonstrations in and around the capital of Port-au- Prince. This Public Announcement expires March 11, 2004.
